The Pain Of Financial Sabotage
The last few posts gave you some exercises that Jamie McIntyre presents in his workshops and through the 21st Century Academy homestudy course. Now, let’s look back at why those exercises are necessary.
Your Financial Subconscious, Your Own Worst Enemy
Your financial subconscious is your own worst enemy. That is, a negative financial subconscious is. If you’ve taken the steps to improve and rewire that subconscious attitude, or if miraculously you came out of childhood without being negatively impacted by money, then your positive financial subconscious can and does work for you rather than against you.
But the question is—if consciously we welcome money, then how can something we don’t even realize we are thinking override the best of our intentions in financial success and wealth building?
Linking Money To Pain
Most people link money more with pain than with pleasure. That seems sort of ridiculous, I know, but it was true for me and for Jamie McIntyre and it is true for most people. They just don’t realize it. An exercise like the one we’ve just completed is very revealing, and can prove this link.
And this is important stuff to know. Because when you link pain to something—anything—your subconscious will do the best it can to protect you from that pain. So, if subconsciously you link money to pain, then subconsciously you will maneuver yourself away from that pain—away from money! This is, obviously, exactly what we are trying to avoid!
Understand that this happens regardless of what you are consciously thinking and doing. Consciously you may have the very best of intentions, but until the subconscious mind understands that you are no longer interested in avoiding money as a source of pain, that you actually link money to pleasure, then financial success will be very hard to come by indeed. But to do that you need tools. Tools like the exercises I’ve brought you from the 21st Century Academy. When you have those tools, you can begin to move beyond pain to pleasure and great financial success. I wish you all of that…and so much more!
